1964 M20C - Prop Gov Cable Replacement

Hi Folks,

I may need to replace my prop cable (the blue lever and cable) as it's very stiff (very stiff to cycle it). It works fine if I rotate it, but stiff when needing to recycle it. I spoke to my A&P and he suggested getting it replaced OR take the cable out and tube it (assuming the cable itself is in good condition). I tried calling McFarlane but it's not an "off the shelf item" for them for my serial number of the M20C.

Checking with the experts what are my options here, and if there are any other places I could source it from?

Thx !!

McFarlane will make them to spec, or you can send the old one in and they'll duplicate it.    I've done two this way.

Edit:   This is done as an Owner Produced Part, so coordinate with your A&P/IA.
