Guest
I stumbled across this guy who does GPS repairs for Apollo and some Garmin products. https://www.palmdr.com/cart/repair-services-aviation-repairs-c-31_106.html?zenid=q6u09daetak6nifj1q05dd62o3
Fly Boomer
Thanks. That’s valuable information. Sometimes these people are not easy to find using a web search.
philiplane
That is Chris Short, he's known for GNS480 repairs. You'll find more info about that on the GNS480 forum: https://gns480-users.groups.io/g/main/topics

JimB
Interesting. I wonder under what authority he is repairing these units. There doesn't seem to be a repair station certificated in Minnesota that matches up to either PalmDr or Short Tronics, INC and nothing with the correct address. Nor is there even an A&P named Chris Short (or any version of it) in MN. I'm probably missing something.

Since he's the only one in the country that we know of that's willing to work on these orphaned portables and panel mounts, we are probably better off not knowing.

Wrong questions to be asking, IMHO. ”Do I want my old Apollo/Garmin fixed” is the better question
