JPI Oil Temp TSIO-360

I am having an 830 installed.  Where can/did you put the oil temp sensor?  

I have to keep the original one as the 830 is cannot be primary.

My JPI oil temp probe, which feeds an EDM-800, is in the crankcase nose.

I installed my 830 oil temp probe on the front left oil galley right next to the prop governor.

The problem is, I have a hot prop.  And that interferes with the location.

Probe tightly fits on my hot prop'ed 252.

I just returned the sensor.  I will revisit this later and see if it will work.

The left side and right side of the engine have mirrored port holes…

If the ship’s OilT sensor is on one side, the JPI can use the similar mirrored port…

It may help to get a drawing of your engine’s oil system….  
 

For planning purposes…

Be sure the spot you pick…  is proper for the temp you are looking to measure… as the oil heats up on the way to the end of the engine…
