What I am searching for is a low time and relatively fresh overhaul ovation or bravo.  Fiki and a garmin GTN750 are preferred. If you have such a beast, PM me.  I’m going to build an add on barnstormers and trade a plane and I’ll get a link to it posted here in the classifieds.  To summarize:

1990 m20J- 2000TT- 115 hours since factory reman IO390/factory new top prop. Done this year  Engine mount overhauled, new metal baffles, new engine control cables, new exhaust.  Oil cooler overhauled.  Surefly magneto on the left side.  Maggie ignition wires. Stunning brand new aerocomfort executive interior.  Avidyne IFD550.  Lynx NGT9000 transponder, PS engineering 450B.  Century 2000 autopilot. Whelen nav/strobe combo, all synced together.  Whelen landing light. Reiff turbo preheater.  New precise flight electric speed brakes.  August annual from advanced aviation (mooney service center) Couple photos attached, more photos and better photos once I get an add up.  Still working out pricing.  Paint is a 7, maybe better, interior 10, mechanical is 10.  No fuel leaks.  Thorough and complete logs. Sad to part ways with what has taken most of my time/energy and money recently, but I think I want a FIKI bird.

I thought you were going to do a new glass panel on this airplane?

It's actually been ordered for quite a while.  Dang supply chain issues.   Honestly, I'll probably keep it and complete that.  I think we would rather have a 340 Or 414 with a partner and keep the J.  I had quite a bit of interest so far, but I think I'm leaning with just pulling the ad down.

Out of curiosity, what colour did you pick from AeroComfort for the seats? I love that particular shade of grey from the photos and am curious which leather colour it is.

You new Interior is gorgeous.

Friend of mine and hangar neighbor had his M20 J overhauled to 390 and it was used for 390  STC. for M20J's.  Gave his plane up for several months and traded for brand new engine and prop. He had no issues but better climb and speed gain. Wish I had the 390, and your interior, and that ovation or bravo your considering too.

Good Luck and appreciate the cloud you already have.

You definitely want FIKI. I wouldn’t have flown yesterday without it.

If I could find a partner for a 414 or 421 I’d sell my plane in a heartbeat. They’d have to be the kind of partner that likes paying bills but doesn’t like to fly much, though.

I had a partner like that a long time ago. Even better, most of his flying was to fly the airplane to the shop for maintenance. Great partn:)er

That is most likely what I am leaning towards. Maybe even a 340.

Hello,

Did you sell this bird? If not did you figure out your price point?

Thx

i havent officially put it on the market.  the attitude indicator failed, and i havent replaced it yet.  didnt want to put it on the market with that like that.   i have a bunch of avionics scheduled to be installed starting in three weeks, so i was most likely going to go through with that.  i didnt see much sense in replacing the AI if it was just coming right back out. if i had an offer i couldnt refuse, id let it go.

When you decide on your price, let me know. I may be interested

Sounds like the current price is "an offer he couldn't refuse."  ;)

Which is too vague for me.

Using Jimmy garrisons J model value guide, I come up with low two hundreds.  I watched a similar one sell for 169k, and sell quickly at that.  without any upgrades, and no where near as fresh of an engine, so I assume that’s accurate.  I most likely won’t put it on the market before I go get the g3x in it.  I haven’t found anything I’m been in a hurry to go buy, search for a new plane is just as hard as I remember.  So, that’s as close to a price as I’ve gotten lately, sorry.

Yeah, I should probably just delete this thread, lol.  I’ve had some interest In it, but things got crazy at work lately, and I haven’t had time to do anything with it.  I had pretty much decided to finish the panel in a few weeks and fly it.  I’ve already paid for the equipment, and some was specific to the mid body I believe (GFC500 stuff), so might as well get it done and not ruffle the avionics shops feathers this close to my install date.

Use caution deleting threads….

It can cause more confusion when people are looking for something they can remember….

It is best to update it and edit the title properly…

Best regards,

See.

Here, since I was asked not to delete the thread.

i didn’t end up putting it on the market officially.  I never found a plane I was in love with to replace it.

this Tuesday it heads to the avionics shop for about 85k worth of work.  So, at this point I’ll hold on to it.  I’ve put too much into it to turn back at this point.

thanks for all the interest and PMs.
