TravelVeteran Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Found this pic online, but would like to find a way to have the little indent lock into place and keep the door open. My door opens and closes fine the issue is it wont "hold" open, and just swings closed with any wind whatsoever. Any tricks on repairing these or replacing them with some sort of air shock (3rd pic)?
N201MKTurbo Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 Un-bend The tabs so you can slide the two parts apart. Bend the catch spring up to give it more force. Slide it back together and bend the tabs back. 2
Hank Posted November 30, 2021 Report Posted November 30, 2021 I wish mine moved easier! It's been bent a couple of times, folded in half when it jammed pulling the door closed.

I may try Rich's advice...

Had my IA do it again at annual. The inner piece just isn't flat anymore. Bend yours in half then straighten it out. If the bend is close to the full open position, you'll have significant resistance to motion!
