Need Mooney Parts Ordered - Calling Mooney Corp

Hey ya'll, if you are waiting on parts that can only be ordered through Mooney please drop a line if you are having a hard time getting your needed parts ordered. A few of us are waiting on an gear airspeed switch and Mooney has yet to put a batch order in. I've heard rumor that some owners have been waiting four months and yet no batch order. @Jonny - if you're reading this, call or PM as I'd be happy to figure out a way to get us owners and some MSCs to get the necessary number to get a batch order through. I've confirmed this specific part non-availability with Dugosh and @Dmax . We're here to support Mooney Corp, but we need the information to flow a little better, especially with parts availability or non-availability.

For other high-demand parts that folk are waiting on from Mooney - please drop them here so we can have a consolidated list. Thanks!

For what it's worth, during my annual this week, we discovered that my airspeed safety switch was INOP.  The gear would come up without any air on the pitot tube.  Bench testing with an ohm meter showed that it was sticking.  We were able to remove the big slotted adjusting screw on the back, remove the spring, squirt a little mouse milk in the switch and get it working.  Reinstalled it, readjusted the airspeed trigger point and it's seems to be working fine.  Might be worth a try if you're stuck without new parts.

Does anyone have the Mooney P/N or VEP P/N for the M20J switch ?  My F manual doesn't show an airspeed switch.

Very similar low pressure airspeed switches are still available through VEP for about $1500 but I have no idea if the Mooney specific configuration is available yet.  In conversation with the manufacturer.  I suspect a batch could be easily ordered if complete specs were available.

Be advised, I am not a mechanic and I am not an aircraft parts supplier and I'm not associated with an MSC.   Just an engineer and Mooney owner that finds these switches interesting and critical enough to dig into the specs.

I know the factory is doing their best to make parts and fulfill orders, but if anyone is in desperate need of something, Don or Paul Maxwell are your next best bet.  Even if you don't take your plane there, their people true mechanics rather than "parts replacement specialists".  For instance, the voltage regulator on the Bravo is riveted shut and costs $2300 for a new one.  Don will have yours repaired for a fraction of that cost.
