Fuel screen inside tank part #

Recommended Posts

I bet that may be integral with the tube it is welded to…

If it is a Different part… ask Dan at Lasar for the details and to order a new one…

If it is an integral part with the tube…. check in with @Alan Fox to get a pre-flown one

Got a pic of what happened to the existing one?

Best regards,

Hi

Does anyone have the part # for the fuel screen inside the fuel tank Right and left tank.

My Mooney is a 1967 M20F executive 21

I can’t seem to find the info?

Cheers

"finger screen".   One of them in my  '67C needed replacing when we had the tanks resealed a few years ago.   Got one salvage.  It is integral with the intake tube, but I suppose a good A&P could put one together.  Finger screens are easy to find.

@Clipper,

get a good look at JR’s pic above…

And be sure to understand what your mechanic is doing…

The height of the intake tube has a lot to do with how well water gets removed from the tank….

The drain is lower than the pick-up…

The pick-up shouldn’t draw any undrained water…

If the tube changes height in the tank… it will affect the usable fuel onboard…

Just some small details your mechanic should know already….  Trust but verify… :)

Looks like the end of the tube has a fastener going through it…  this should aid with the removal of the part with the screen on it…

Putting it back probably requires a touch of tank sealant, or something similar…

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic…
