Urs_Wildermuth
As I think my thread disappeared due to the forum outage, I'll post it again. A Mooney 205, occupied by a single pilot, crashed in the Swiss mountains in IMC conditions on Sunday .The airplane was enroute from Dahmler Binz (Germany) to Locarno (Switzerland). By the looks of it, the pilot tried to cross the Alps by the Gotthard route, which at the time was unflyable due to convective clouds. The aircraft involved was D-EMPE. The owner/pilot was a very prominent veterinarian from Germany. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/265655
