At least times have changed, back in the 1960’s we kept quiet regarding being in the service, seemed like taboo at times.

My Cessna was once flown by Joe Foss. I have a picture of him standing in front of it. A great American.

He didn't give his life for his country, but he caused a lot of our enemies to.

back in 2002,joe was detained at sky harbor airport security because he was carrying dangerous metal objects....security had failed to recognize his star shaped congessional medal of honor,thinking it could be used as a knife

Interesting stuff but,

I feel it’s wholly inappropriate for Memorial Day.
Memorial Day is an American Holiday to honor those that gave their lives protecting America.
