RC ALLEN 2610 AND 1510

Talked quite a while at S N F with RC Allen about these two instruments.

Looks like they will be TSO'd fully in a short while (A?S ATIM. SLIPSKID etc)

New battery location and easy change out.

Thinking for a panel change in the short future ( CBs club)

Anyone got them?

The DG has no precession like the AV30 as it has a built in magnetometer

They say they will have an HSI function in a while (proverbial optimist)

Way cheaper than the big G and no big G shop required to install.

I looked at these at sun n fun as well and was extremely interested in them just for the fact of how simple the installation was. If I remember correctly the one unit they had on display showed the artificial horizon as well as your airspeed and altitude on the screen as well but I was unable to find any pictures of that online?

One of the nice things about the RC Allen is that you can pair it with their ESP standby battery system which provides something like 5 hours of backup time.
Oh, and did I mention that I have one for sale with a brand new battery installed?

I put a 2610-3 in place of the turn coordinator. It was a simple install, power/ground.
