scottfromiowa
Took off Sunday PM from Mitchell, SD. 35 gallons of fuel and a light load (dog/hunting gear and I). After initial climb and left turn I got on course (almost due East Magnetic) and indicating 120mph in climb I had 155knots and over 1,000FPM up to 5500 feet. Enjoyed anywhere from 155k-180k at 25 squared and leaned to 9.5GPH. That was fun and a nice payback for my trip out that saw a high of 120knots at 3500 feet. 2.6 out and 2.0 return. Hank
Tailwinds are great! I took a trip over the mountains to eastern VA--2.0 out, 3.7 home, and I don't remember significant tailwinds [~150 kts east; 100-105 kts westbound]. Take it and say 'Thank you!' :-)
