Congratulations, Jack! Let the fun begin.

An easier way to share pictures is to drag them below, or click on "Add Files" and choose the photo. That way we don't have to download pictures of your plane to see them . . . .

Please tell us why you choose Mooney, and why this particular C model?

Because Cs are great??? The best bang for the buck in all of certified General Aviation?

well out of 172/pa-28/super vikings

the m20c is the best over all value, better speed, gph, manual landing gear, retains value longer and low op cost

This mooney was just too amazing of a deal to pass up, speed mods, fresh smoh on prop n engine newer interior, new sealed tanks, ect

missing avionics is going to be costly but also allow's me to build the panel how i would like it.

enabled me to buy this one at a super super steal for less than the cost of brace's for a kid

Welcome.  I'm also a new owner, early J model, and have a legacy panel that I will be upgrading in the near(ish) future. I see you have gutted the panel.

What are your plans for all that cash and more importantly, how have you decided on what to install?

Good luck finishing up your ppl and with the panel upgrade.  jb

That airspeed indicator has a white arc for a different aircraft.   Top of white arc for a 66C should be at 100 mph.  Yellow arc looks ok.   Good luck.

Bottom of the white arc is also too fast, looks to be 65-ish mph. The Owners Manual for my C says to pull back on the yoke to liftoff when airspeed is 65-75 mph, which is well above Takeoff Flap stall speed, to say nothing of Full Flap stall speed . . . .
