Why is so much avionics discussion on Modern vs. in Avionics specific area?

For what it's worth, I don't pay any attention to sub-forums when consuming Mooneyspace content.  I have my bookmark set to "New Posts" (across all forums), and could care less what content is posted in what sub-form.

Out of respect for people who don't consume content that way, I do try to be careful about selecting an appropriate sub-forum on the rare occasions when I start a new thread.  But otherwise, I don't pay any attention.  My guess is a bunch of other people consume web-forum content the same way I do, and that may be why it's hard for new sub-forums to gain the kind of traction you're discussing.

Just a PSA that there is indeed an avionics specific thread area on Mooneyspace.

Am I missing something?

Enlighten me? :)

Craig can/will move them if they become problematic and/or as he sees fit.  Agree that we all should try to be good housekeepers here.

Exactly! ^^^^

And we can take it a step further and remark about most any thread on MS can experience so much thread drift that the original topic is totally loss.

Or that we need to re-create the same thread over and over again with same re-postings because its easier or quicker to create a new thread than search for one of the prior ones.

Or....

Good thing, like Vance, I only monitor new posts and decide what topics merit reading beyond the title.

Just remember, no one, including the OP of a thread owns any thread here, and no one should assume all post of a thread are meant for the OP. Threads take on their own life. They are open discussions after all. Other than that, just like Vance said, I always check before creating a new thread that there isn't already one going and the forum makes sense.

I resemble that remark.

I just went to the scene of the “crime :) “ and asked the question.  If I placed in avionics perps wouldn’t see it is my thought?  I usually gain sarcasm in direct proportion to java consumed.
