Flap motor cutoff switches

Yes, V3L-3, and, yes, drown it in contact cleaner first.

Those switches can be hard to find, but if you're patient they show up fairly cheap on ebay or elsewhere from time to time.   If the contact cleaner revives it, I'd still start looking for replacements.

And have some more of the little screws handy, they're a b*tch to get back in to hold the wires.  ;)

Actually I believe the relays may be more problematic than the switches. There are numerous threads here on flap relays. I have had two failures of relays. In my opinion as an electrical engineer there are a couple of shortcomings in the relay implementation.

One more thing, if it is the microswitches, an alternate to V3L-3 is V3-1 with a JV-5 actuator. Both of these options are listed in my IPC. You can buy the V3-1 and a JV-5 actuator for less than $30 total.

and if you really really want the V3L-3 you can find it here for about $100

Apologies if the question is daft, but is typical contact cleaner safe for aluminum, or should one go through great lengths to contain the possible overspray?
