A little night flight never hurts for practice. I believe night flight is flying in continues IMC depending on the terrain around you. Thanks for Flying Along!

M20-C? Check!

Night flight? Check!

IMC? Check!

Night IMC? No thank you!

Oh, you meant "does night flight count as IMC?" Judging by how much of it I flew as a VFR pilot, no. The first Christmas after PPL, I took my wife flying to see Christmas lights. Most of them were underwhelming from 2500 msl (field elevation on the riverbank was 567', but the hills on both sides went above 1300. Maybe they'd be nicer at 1000 agl in the flatlands?
