1984 Mooney M20J SPECIAL EDITION AUCTION

ON 23 NOVEMBER at  9:00 am at front door of the courthouse, Hamblen co. 511 West Second North St. Morristown, tn.  a 1984 Mooney Special Edition will be sold to the highest bidder.   The beginning bid of $26,000 to satisfy mechanics lien.  The Special edition has the Articulating seats and the rear seats remove to form a full floor in the rear along with others.   king equipped, autopilot etc.   Will fly away with ferry permit but will need  annual. Call 423 231 3491 with questions on the plane and auction.

Presumably, other than ferry to maintenance this aircraft hasn't flown in over 4 years.  Suspect last annual was July 2015.https://www.aircraft.com/aircraft/166494901/n5783d-1985-mooney-m20j-201

 

Could be that the windsock that it hit is in better shape.

It is being sold with the log books, or without the logs and cooperation of the 3 owners?

Looks like original interior and mostly original avionics and engine at  around TBO and probably not Ads-B out equipped yet. 

Kinda looks like its still a long ways away from a full resurrection after sitting all those years.

Often when planes are repossessed by the bank, do to the circumstances, the plane gets auctioned without logbooks.   @Mcstealth answered the question though if they were available.

If someone was considering experimental this might make a great bird instead.  Take this one on the cheap go through it and rebuild it top to bottom.  Big assumptions you are an A&P or can work closely with one that can sign off and then there is the whole potential corrosion issue.
