When I went back with the second set of downloaded files from Garmin, the mag var update went just fine. You do have to let the PFD reboot, and then run through the actual file updating process, but you eventually get the message shown in the Service Alert document that everything is fine. And it is! 1

Did you have to use a 2GB SD Card formatted FAT?
Yariv Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 I realize the question is not directed to me but since I had to go through two tries I can help. In my second try the only thing I changed was the SD card - i went from a 4GB to 2GB. The new 2GB card came formatted as FAT. I had to reformat it as FAT32. The CB that I pulled was GPS2. Good luck. Yariv Hi Yariv, Thank you for your input. I called Garmin and I formatted FAT and it worked. I had to use a 2GB card (must be max 2GB they said) and it worked like a charm. I pulled CB for NAV2 and COM2 both. They whole update completed in less than 4 min. Hope you are well! Davide
