Jerry Pressley
I just flew in a 66 C for maintenance. Noticed it had 11 logbooks. The original owner logged in the airframe and engine logs every minute he flew in it. If anyone out there logs his time in the airplane logs....STOP IT!!!!!! That is the purpose of personal logs.
David Lloyd
My airplane spent 20+ years in Canada. Every flight listed, eh. At one time it must have been required, don't know about now. Wonder if he was from north of the border.

Our northern neighbors now keep Flight Logs, which I think are separate from the Airframe, Engine, Prop and Pilot logs.
Comet
The Canadian books for my plane are much larger than the ones for while it’s been in the US...even though it was registered in Canada for many fewer years.
squeaky.stow
Transport Canada requires a Journey Log be maintained that stays with the airplane. This has been required for as long as I have been flying, so prior to 1977.
ohdub
In Canada the aircraft has a journey log in which every flight and all maintenance is logged. It is kept in the aircraft. It is separate from the other logs which we also have (airframe, engine etc).

squeaky.stow
Of course! We also have to keep a journey log of our own personal movements for walking, cycling and jogging. Although some of us have opted for the implanted microchip to save time. 2
gsxrpilot
I have a detailed log of every flight I've ever made in N252AD. And when the time comes to sell, I'll just send the SavvyAnalysis link to the buyer and they can have access to all the log data.
Guest
The Canadian Journey logbook records all flights as well as all maintenance. It is the legal document which Transport Canada uses for enforcement actions. The 4 and in some cases 5 technical log books are for recording maintenance. The Adlog system is a copy of our log book system. Clarence
RobertGary1
Anyone who’s owned an older pre war era plane knows this was the standard practice. -Robert
RLCarter
I’ll need to check but I’m pretty sure the 1st logbook started by Mooney has a flight log section as well
