Glen Davis
Hi guys, on the right side of the pilots yoke is a toggle switch as you can see in the picture. Anybody have any guess what it might be for? I thought it might be for the ejection seat but I tried it and it didn’t work so I ruled that option out. takair
Is it momentary or does it latch? Ident, map light?
David Lloyd
Switches and buttons on the yoke are anyone's guess if they don't don't match the POH. A lot of them are added or changed without documentation.
LANCECASPER
It might help to show a picture of your panel. In addition to what's been mentioned (ident) I've seen remote flip-flop switches for changing com frequencies.

squeaky.stow
I have seen similar setups wired to the ident on the transponder. Try pressing it airborne while watching the transponder for an ident light.
carusoam
Try it on the ground first... Just in case it opens the bomb bay door, or something surprising... Is there a way to contact your prior owner to ask? Best regards, -a-

the_elkhartian
I think my yoke has a map light on the right side...and to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever even tried to see if it works. I have later model 201 yokes.

Mark89114
My right hand side of the yoke has 2 switches, one for clearing weather on stormscope and the other an instant replay of last audio. Dont use either one of them much.

Marauder
activates the guns .30 caliber in the Mooney since we are a little smaller than the mustang which had the .50 caliber. Correct! In the later years Mooneys, like my 75, they moved the switch to the throttle. My guess it is the map light. That is where mine is located.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro 1
