Paul_Havelka
I work offshore in the oilfield and am heading to Trinidad for work and due to the borders of Trinidad being closed the drilling contractor and exploration company have to have us quarantine for 2 weeks and then they have a charter flight to get us in to Trinidad. Now the question is where am I in quarantine at? Of all places, Billund, Denmark. Well on the walls of my hotel room are 2 prints that are related to aviation. Just thought it kind of fitting.
Nick Pilotte
That’s a decent view for a hotel quarantine. Though after the first hour you may be bored. The real question is, who can name the aircraft in those pictures? I admittedly can’t. Edited October 3, 2020 by Nick Pilotte
bfreelove
My guess is C-118 (DC-6). I think it's the one at the Pima Air and Space Museum, it was the last piston powered presidential aircraft, used during the Kennedy administration.
Parker_Woodruff
If you’re not insured by Airspeed, give Paul a call for a quote - keep him from going insane from that hotel room (and he has plenty of time on the oil rig, too).
Paul_Havelka
@Parker_Woodrufffortunately it was described as a "quarantine" today and the person overseeing us isn't even staying in the hotel. May venture out tomorrow but yes, if you need insurance or have a question feel free to call me.
Jim Peace
I took this picture in my hotel in Stansted not to long ago.... Would be cool in the right room with the right decor.... looks like a 747-400 winglet

Nick Pilotte
@bfreelove for the win on the first picture. The second, I have yet to confirm. It looks like a jet instead of the cowl flaps of the DC-6.
DanM20C
I was given room number 201 at the hotel in Madison for the Mooney Caravan 2018. I thought there must be a mistake as I fly a 231. I entered the room and there was this photo of a 310 on the wall. They are all mixed up at that hotel. -Dan

He lives in Jersey, but I think he's confused about what timezone he lives in--he often posts like he's in UTC + instead of "-"! 1
