Anyone tried Ultra wing walk compound?

My wing walk is faded, and it's time to refresh. I've tried the $26 stuff at spruce. Works fine but IMO fades faster than I'd like. Does this stuff hold its color better?  It's more expensive but that doesn't always mean it's better.

@rbridges, this works well. Use a brush, stir often. @Skates97 sent me the half-can he had after doing his, do you want what's left? No idea on fading, mine is two whole weeks old and looks great!

I may could deliver the can today or tomorrow. It'd be a good excuse to fly.

If the wing walk is in good shape, you can just paint it.

There are just one or two spots where it's worn. I think it's where I crouch down to load stuff in the plane.

That's how mine was, mostly where my first foot lands getting out. Rinsed it off, put one coat on the bare spots, let it dry while I taped off all the edges, then brushed the whole thing. Stir, dip, paint quickly; stir, dip, paint quickly. Don't let the edges get dry, and move from the front towards the back.

This was after coating the bare spots, which are visible in the first picture above. Harbor Freight disposable brushes, free Home Depot stir stick. Wear gloves!

I did mine when I bought the plane. It was grey and dull, looked old. I’ve got 4 years and 250 hours mine is starting to look like a refresh is needed. It’s really not hard and it does spruce it up. It’s grippy.

Did you use Ultrawingwalk?  I did mine a few years ago, but it's dulled badly, especially considering my plane is hangared.

Yes. I’ve done two planes so far. Both hangared.

I ended up using a paint brush.  I tried the roller, and maybe it was too thick, but it seemed to clump the "grit."  The brush seemed to distribute it better.  It looks good.  Time will tell how well it does against fading.

Yeah, rolling didn't work at all. But a brush did! Stir before dipping the brush every time . . . .
