The seat cushion (not the back cushion) is just velcro'd in. You can pull them out easily with one hand. If so... you have the removable rear seats. My 1967 Mark 21 Ranger Owner Manual says rear seat can be removed, but it seems to be a fixed back and no releases. A&P doesn’t think my plane has removable rear seats. The back rest bolts to the frame on the sides and you have to get in there with a socket and open end wrench to remove one bolt each side so you can pull out the backrest.
