Don't know what kind of scam there running but I hope the widow got here money for the plane Not a scam, it's under contract awaiting a PPI. Not sure why you weren't able to contact them, Paul was able to get right through, but then he jumped on it right away after the ad went up. As Anthony has mentioned, there are more people looking for planes than planes for sale right now. The ones that are priced to move aren't lasting very long. 5 Quote
av8or99 Posted August 14, 2020 Report Posted August 14, 2020 I called the very first day the add went up, the least they could do is call back and say its under contract already! O well I will never give them any business and make sure everyone i know in aviation knows how the do business.....thanks for the reply. Quote

Or you could devote that energy to finding your plane instead. 4 Quote
carusoam Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 Life is too short... That is why we fly Mooneys... people run out of time often... Focus on the Mooney that is available to you... There are plenty that get away for various reasons. Now, about the M20C... What makes it interesting to you..? Best regards, -a- Quote
MIm20c Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 So I’m curious since it only lasted a day on the market...Was the price closer to the $15k mentioned earlier in this thread, double that, or triple? Quote

When I originally began this thread, I was mistaken about the engine time. Instead of being run out, it was actually about 1300 hours. And an additional factor I didn't mention is that Weep No More did the tanks in 2018. It was listed in Controller for about $39k, I don't know what it sold for. 3 Quote
carusoam Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 Currently listed as sale pending... Nicely appointed as if it was somebody’s forever plane... Recent flight was in March... owned by the last owner for at least a decade... Tough economic times for buying a good plane... many people competing to buy... It is lovingly priced with every MSer’s favorite phrase... for sale price: Call. Best regards, -a- https://www.controller.com/listings/aircraft/for-sale/196005075/1967-mooney-m20c Quote

I don’t think there is added value if the tanks were resealed, but there is definitely a value hit if they are leaking. you don’t value a new voltage regulator higher than an older voltage regulator, it’s a maintenance item. It works or it doesn’t. it leaks or it doesn’t. There’s plenty of 20 year old reseals that don’t leak, there’s are original sealants that don’t leak, and there are reseals from last year that leak. hammdo Posted August 15, 2020 Report Posted August 15, 2020 Wet Wingologist/Weep No More and still under warranty, that would be valuable. How much depends. I'd value that... -Don 3 Quote
kris_adams Posted August 16, 2020 Report Posted August 16, 2020 Wow. Really nice looking bird. Congrats to whoever finally gets it. If it ends up being a forever plane it has the bones to be one of the finest in the fleet. And tanks being done recently by Paul definitely doesn’t hurt! Quote

Less optimistic about having the Mooney by the end of the year. I talked to Dynon yesterday and he said M20 STC would likely slip into 2021. Quote
