MLB and TFRs

valid point 30K was the number.   Like when they play a high school game in a college stadium.   TFR or no?

It is stadium capacity of 30,000. No one knows attendance numbers in advance. This meant that when Marshall had 20,000 watching the game, we had a TFR in Huntington, WV because the stadium held 36,000. Here in Auburn, there's never a doubt, and we have fit dang near three times that number inside Jordan Hare.

Apparently those in charge of issuing TFRs are still going by the book, whether fans are allowed inside or not . . . . .

TFR's because of terrorist concerns should be done away with completely. TFR's over fire fighting opps here in the west make sense. TFR's over an air show, yes. But VIP TFR's and sporting event TFR's, silliness and security theater.

The sole purpose of a TFR over a sporting event is to control advertising by preventing banners from being flown. It was sold to us under the premise of "safety" but we all know a TFR can not stop someone from flying an aircraft into a stadium.

And If I remember the banner towers got waivers before the NFL helicopters and blimps...

So it was a waste of time from the beginning.

I remember that movie Black Sunday where they used the Goodyear Blimp to kill everyone in the stadium.
