I bet a night flight around Vegas would be beautiful.

Lots of helicopter flights at night right over the strip. Used to be hundreds every night before COVID  Big business there

Not too easily done via private plane (for sightseeing with the Class B airspace

Well, it looks like Don got out before the weather got sketchy here.  Now he's just going slow. :)

Ah ha!  Southern route I-10 ish.   Man, it’s super hot in Vegas today! Henderson? North Las Vegas?  Wow!

That  really doesn't qualify as a "tour of the area"  only as a transition to the other airport :-)

Well after that just ask Nellis for a transition to the east from VGT, look down at all the cool fighters as you pass mid field then circle south and fly over Hoover Dam and you basically have seen everything interesting in Vegas.

If you want another cool view option, not far from Vegas, you can land at Laughlin/Bullhead KIFP at night.  The airport is across the river from the casinos, and roughly parallel to them.  RWY 16 has a right pattern and 34 is left...so on either runway, you're basically flying over the river next to the casino lights...a mini Vegas.

Thanks for all the help. I went to Henderson via Las Cruces last Sunday and returned via Double Eagle today. The turbulence beat us pretty bad for 5 hours, and then when I got back to Dallas, the Sarahan dust had moved in.
