Ovation M20P TKS tank indicating fluid wrong

Hello everybody,

I have an ovation 3 year 2007 with TKS.

After I have switched on, the TKS indicator shows 6Gal.

When I fly without using "DCS" the display quickly shows less, reducing to OGal.

If I briefly interrupt the fuse, the indicator counts up again, but not up to 6Gal, but differently up to 2Gal or 4.5Gal.

Is it because of the float of the TKS fuel gauge?

Who can help me?

I wrote up a discovery and repair for a TKS float problem a few years ago.  I’m not good at searching but calling Anthony @carusoam as he’s the wiz finding older topics appropriate for a new post.

Welcome back Flugbert, it’s been a while...  

Try this search page... you will see Yooperman’s post right in the middle of it...

I also left anything that included TKS floats just in case there is something else you may be interested in...

We also have a TKS guy around here.... @CAV Ice Protection and @CAV Ice.
