I've been looking for a few good books on aircraft maintenance, engine stuff etc., Is Mike's four books worth the investment or which ones would be beneficial. Are they available on the Ipad, I notice Kindle was available

The "Engines" book is great, but tends to focus on Continental.  The principles, of course, carry over, but it helps to realize that when he discusses specifics, they are usually Continental oriented.

I have "Manifesto" as well, and I think I got less out of it than out of "Engines."

I've read all his books and concur, they're fantastic.  But another way in is his Youtube channel.  You'll find most of the stories and anecdotes from the books are in the videos.  Go back a couple years and start with the basic ones: troubleshooting, rough running engines, spark plugs, etc.  It's a great primer.
