Favorable Avgas prices

Stopped in at Williston (X60) today and topped off my tanks with $2.60 per gallon self-serve. Full service was $3.10 per gallon. If you’re in the vicinity, you might want to take advantage of this while it lasts.

Was there last weekend. You can also order food from the piper cup cafe next to the FBO, pick up your food and eat at the table outside the FBO.

$2.79 at KRME - the lowest I have ever seen in the Northeast in 13 years of flying.  I said that 3 weeks ago when it was $3.74 at KRME so I flew down there and took on 82 gallons.  But I had pulled up just as the tanker was pulling away from the pump and they had lowered it to $3.38 - good timing on my part!  So $3.38 was the lowest I ever got. And now it is $2.79!  And still $4.97 at home KPTD because we aren't burning through our tank very fast right now its still old prices.   So a 30 min flight to KRME and return is literally free flying.

So....?  In NJ can you pump your own avgas, or does it have to be done by an attendant?

My home drome’s self serve has been down for a year...

So I pull up to the pump... and they drive out with the truck to fill my tanks...

Must be something going on in the background I can’t recognize...   

Even our low cost supplier a few miles north... is behind on a good price update...

So it's legal to fuel your plane all by yourself in NJ, but not a car?

We are highly trained...

We usually get help for things like misfueling, fires, and chipping the paint off the wings...
