Flaps no workie workie/ to flaps workie workie

My flaps quit working a few weeks ago. Luckily they were in the up position.

Tracked it down to the micro switches “I hope”. It turned into them not working at all to intermittent when we would tap on the up micro switch.

Got a good price on them so we decided to change out both. Glad I did because when I took the down micro switch out it fell apart.

Everything seems to be working consistently now.

It thought we found them on digi key or mouser once.

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/honeywell-sensing-and-productivity-solutions/V3L-3/480-5229-ND/2748876 $85.10

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Honeywell/V3L-3?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsGy5xtdehMuFSPBDIPJhlo $97.29

There are a couple other similar ones for less, but, well, that would require significant testing I expect.

I own '67 F (Hydraulic flaps) so i never looked at those live but this switch looks remarkably like TEAC (and other Japanese brand) Reel to reel machines.

I suspect screw spacing is standard and should be available new and used. Good job sourcing them.

Yeah luckily the ones I found are the exact same brand and part number they are just old new stock. Wish I had bought more than just one extra.

It is much cheaper to get the V3-1 switch along with the JV-5 roller actuator. This is listed as an alternate in the IPC to the V3L-3 switch.
