HMMM... I'd double check the parts from Gee Bee Aero Products to make certain they were approved and safe.  Just found this on the FAA Website.

FAA PROPOSED FINE - Unapproved Parts $203,100 July 2019

Oldish news... with follow-up to the story...

Corrections in place...

And documented around here someplace...

Good catch though!  :)

Best regards,

how much does the baffling for a J cost ?

Mine were $225 + shipping in late 2018. Kit includes die cut baffle seals, pop rivets and barrel screws -- everything you need. The original seals are attached with hardened staples. You need a Dremel with a cutoff wheel to remove them. Guy supplied a couple of cutoff wheels also.

His SCEET tubing is double wall and much better than SCAT. With the finished ends, they should last at least to TBO.

Nice pics...

And Jim Kerr’s pirep is nice too... :)

“Guy at Gee Bee is a super nice fellow, but they don't have a website. You have to call him or email. They can be reached at 800-556-3160or via email at n77gb@msn.com. Guy isn't always around to answer the phone, but he is generally very responsive if you leave him a voicemail or send an email.” - JK

Last year we also had new Seals on our 1998 M20J Allegro ordered from GeeBee.
Price was 275usd + 90usd for ship to Europe. Colour in Royal Blue and Silver pop rivets. Guy also offered a free set of valve cover gaskets.
Our feedback is 100% positive. This is a great product with perfect fit on cowl. Be aware to follow GB recommendations on installation, like the slight rear seal forward bend.
The Engine temps just got right low after seals installation. Check the pictures below to see the quality product and to understand also the difference between the original hardened staples and the new rivets for seals attachment that PT20J commented.
