Weather Correction App?

I haven’t heard of weather correction for altitude...

If we are talking about pressure adjustment... to match the altitude on the instrument to atmospheric pressure from an outside resource...

That is a simple chart in the POH...

May want to be a touch more specific with what you are looking for...

We have had crummy weather all week, with more to come... I’d love a weather correction app!

:)

Best regards,

Ogimet & Windy, will show you weather along the altitude dimension

Only aerodynamic physics involving air density/compressibility that relate to indicated speeds and need altitude conversion (well not all speeds are indicated, VNE is a true one), everything used in weather physics is "True" and ISA, when you hear 200kts winds at 18000msl it means 200kts true airspeed at 14.94Hg

Btw weather models are not real 3D models, they are 2.1D :D where that 0.1dimension is a liner vertical ISA pressure profile from gravity/density (there are no vertical winds in weather simulations but a lot of fudge happens to the vertical temperature profile :D), the link between vertical pressure and altitude is done under ISA (so, if you are flying on QNH setting convert to density altitude on a standard setting, but that difference, 2000ft in a hurricane?, is still nothing compared to the accuracy of the data)
