I have a friend that received multiple scholarships as she worked her way up to CFII, I'll contact her and get a list. The Young Eagles program through EAA will get her a FREE Sporty's On-Line Ground School ($249.00), EAA will reimburse her when she passes her FAA written exam ($165.00) and $130.00 towards her 1st flight lesson. If your an EAA member they have a  Scholarships page aswell

Top on my list would be the scholarships through AOPA, WAI [Women in Aviation International] and the 99s.  All have student memberships available which gives you access to the scholarships.  Depending on what area she lives in, she could check out the local 99s chapter.  In our little chapter we give out $5000 per year.

I  want to add that anyone is able to apply for the AOPA Advanced Rating Scholarship and also the Primary Training Scholarship (all ages welcome). They will need to have two people to write letters of recommendation. Just don't miss the deadlines. They also have a specific scholarship for full-time Teachers to acquire their Rec, Sport, or Private so long that they are teaching the AOPA STEM curriculum. These are some great offerings.

anyone is able to apply

Yet the 2nd eligibility requirement does say "U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident" which immediately means applying doesn't make sense for some 7.35 billion people, out of 7.7 billion roaming the planet...  Just sayin'.

But yes, looks like a great place to apply, for those that are in need and eligible, thanks for posting the link.

Also check with local aviation groups or EAA Chapters.  Our local aviation group gives out scholarships to students wishing to pursue a career in aviation, as does the EAA chapter to our east and west.  Ours ranges from $500 - $2000 depending on how many kids apply and are approved each year.  The caveat for these three though is that the student has to be a resident of that county.
