So with mooney down what happens to mooney prices over the next 5 years ?

The newest airplanes are depreciating but I think quite a bit more than usual

They stopped making P51s. They’re worth north of $2M each now

Well, the way guys are skidding them off runways, and Hear up landings, might be sooner than you think.

Can’t have a positive impact especially if unlike the previous shutdowns parts production goes away.

Go back in history when Mooney closed with no known future...

There are moments of discomfort...

But, for the most part... Mooney Maintenance doesn’t require anything from the factory...

This is easy to absorb when buying a plane for 30amu...

More complex when buying a plane for 300amu...

Easier when getting used parts, where there are hundreds of similar planes sitting in a bone yard....

More complex when your plane is the only one nearing a bone yard... 

 

So... I bought my first Mooney three shutdowns ago...I seriously considered the same question...

Plan A... Don’t bend anything...

Expect when selling things... it will be part of the pricing strategy...
