ilikethewoods
Like the title says: I'm looking for a Structural Repair Manual for a Mooney M20F or vintage Mooney's. I need to do a repair to a flap and would love to make sure the repair is IAW to a SRM. Yes, I'm an A&P, yes, it's my aircraft, yes, I've searched: Mooney Service & Support, Google, Yahoo and Pornhub, found nothing. I've seen a few post of members checking the SRM's for fuel tank repairs and such so I know there's one around. Any help would be awesome. Thanks. EricJ
AFAIK there is no SRM, just the Service and Maintenance Manual.
carusoam
Congrats on attempting using a search for the SRM.... Mooney manuals are not very extensive.... They have improved over the years... They come mostly in two forms... 1) MMs Maintenance Manuals 2) IPCs illustrated parts manuals 3) There is a a government aircraft maintenance manual that may also get used from time to time by mechanics trained in the arts... see the posts below for its numerical name... If you can’t get further clarity looking for manuals.... You can ask the specific question here... we have people that may be familiar with where to find your specific case... One of the things that you may need will be covered in the balancing of flight surfaces.... probably in the MM... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic... N201MKTurbo
I just scrubbed the maintenance manual. There is a section on structural repairs. Nothing specific to the flaps so I would consider them the same as wings. Under wing skin repairs it says to use 43.13-1B.

Just want to make sure if (when) I sale the aircraft the logbooks are taking care of. The logbooks before the previous owner decided to sale the plane were perfect, then you can start to see the downhill on squawks not being taken care of. Annual inspections went from 30-35 items being fixed to: Oil change and lubrications complied with! Sucks!

He's got a structural engineer, Brodie, who as done a lot of Mooney sheet metal repair. Not that you can't do it yourself, but if you need a second opinion, set of eyes on it, or just need access to the Mooney factory parts dept, JD is a super nice guy and a great Mooney resource. What would be cool if they would let us come use their dies and forms and punch out a new one. Bring the parts home and reassemble.
