Clarence This was in winter time at 13,000 ft coming from Virginia Tech after dropping my son not much heat on the rear seats. No need for headsets on the back seats is not that noisy she and I talk directly. She doesn't like listening to the ATC chatting over the headset. I find the Mooney much more comfortable in both front and back seats. The Mooney cabin is also wider so more shoulder room. A friend of mine covered it with carpet cloth and it made such a big difference that he recovered all the side panels. Alan Fox Posted November 25, 2019 Report Share Posted November 25, 2019 The seats in the A-36 can be faced forward , or backwards , They can also be removed in about 1 minute each , The A 36 , is capable of being stretched out to 4100 lbs , They have real landing gear , real fuel tanks , and a company that supports the product , and has continually for 65 years , Spar web cracks are VERY RARE , I personally have never seen them , wing bolts are not required , They have MUCH MORE ROOM , yes the Mooney cabin is 2 inches wider , It is also much rounder in the profile , The Bonanza is Roomier , I can and do run my Bonanza at 11.5 gallons and 160 Knots , Don't believe me , Caruso has been in my plane more than once and seen those numbers , These are not comparable aircraft , it is a stupid comparison.... 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't see a competitive market for Mooney when you can get a six seater for the same money from a company still in business. One significant advantage Mooneys have over the C172 and PA28 is that the baggage door allows access to the top of the baggage allowing to easily add more luggage on top. On the A36 I dont know about W&B problems but post 79 and earlier A36s by STC have baggage space back there with 70# structural limits.
