flyer338
Once upon a time I based my C model at Rohnerville Airport in Fortuna, CA (KFOT). One of the biggest problems when returning from a flight to an out of the area airport was getting reliable, current weather. One of my flying buddies was the Hydesville postmaster, and he would step outside and give me a pirep on local conditions when I called. Today things are much better and there is an AWOS-3 at KFOT. But things are even better: webcams have been installed at KFOT and other Humboldt County airports enabling a realtime view of sky conditions. Yetti
Around Juneau webcams are pretty much the way they fly
