Rick Junkin
Those are the cloud tops in hundreds of feet, i.e. 276 is 27,600 feet. Cheers, Rick

Thanks Hendrik Also the black dots are storm cell projected paths at 20 min increments. 0, 20, 40, 60 min
N201MKTurbo
Minor correction, they are not loud tops, but the top of the radar returns.

Cheers, Rick Those are ECHO tops, not cloud tops — significant difference. Echo tops are the highest altitude radar return. Cloud tops will be thousands of feet higher. More important, echo tops are a good indication of convection. My magic number is 300. YMMV. David
bradp
My magic number is a bit lower - more like 200. This video was of a storm with tops near 230. Â B Â

A high gradient cell is no-go regardless of the echo top. David

lithium366
There is a Legends document available for download in Documents / Drives / ForeFlight section. Very useful for OP ForeFlight exploration! According to their own legend these black numbers are echo tops
