It would be nice to mount it outside. I have been toying with the idea of buying one of those cameras, but wasn't sure about the quality. Now I know. They came out really good and I love that the GPS is installed in them also. The software for the ContourHD is lacking a bit in that it is proprietary. You can't use Windows Media or any other editing based software to edit. Contour says they are coming out with new software versions. There are quite a few comparison videos on YouTube like this one The ContourHD does not have a remote start stop so you could not for example mount the camera on the wing of your Falcon and start and stop it via Bluetooth from the cockpit.
