Patrick M Posted June 15, 2020 Author Report Posted June 15, 2020 Guys - great discussion and insight on the SWTA (now ARI) cowl kit. I am sure it is one of these: https://www.aeroresourcesinc.com/proj98-ci/WebContent/product_category/view/9 I will call them to see what parts they have should I encounter the bulkhead crack again. Mooney-Shiner Posted July 6, 2020 Report Posted July 6, 2020 (edited) Without trying to highjack the convo too much, anyone knows where I can get a similar schematic for 67M20F? I looked through M20F Parts Catalog(revised 1976), but didn't see it there. I'm trying to replace small bolts on the spinner dome, similar to the ones marked #11 and #15 on the schematic. Sorry for butting in Edited July 6, 2020 by ukrsindicat@yahoo.com Quote
carusoam Posted July 7, 2020 Report Posted July 7, 2020 Ukrs, Check which spinner you have... You are showing the pointy spinner like an M20J uses... Andy is showing the bullet shaped spinner that the mid 60s Mooney uses... Best regards, -a- 1 Quote

tankertoad Posted July 29, 2020 Report Posted July 29, 2020 Mine finally gave up the ghost even after doing the taping procedure. I'm leaning the direction of the A2295-5P instead of welding. Quote
Eight8Victor Posted August 26, 2020 Report Posted August 26, 2020 Does anyone have a doubler like the one pictured here laying around! @Alan Fox @Jerry Pressley Quote
carusoam Posted August 26, 2020 Report Posted August 26, 2020 8V, know what would help? What prop / spinner did that come off? if you put a Mooney model right next to your flat earth comment, that could be helpful... Best regards, -a- Quote
Alan Fox Posted August 26, 2020 Report Posted August 26, 2020 Just now, carusoam said: 8V, know what would help? What prop / spinner did that come off? Best regards, -a- its the old style J spinner for a Hartzell pretty much only used on conversions , as every J that I have seen has a Macauley prop... Plane will fly fine with that crack in it , it will be a bitch to fab... The Macauley prop blades are farther from the hub flange than Hartzell , so they are not interchangeable.. 1 Quote

I’d like to replace it anyway if anyone knows where I can find one. Quote
carusoam Posted August 26, 2020 Report Posted August 26, 2020 If you can’t find a pre-flown one... And building one is a complex job... You might contact Hartzell directly... https://hartzellprop.com/products/top-prop/mooney/m20r-no-anti-ice/ If you have success... ask them if my spinner is available in a 1/2” larger diameter yet..? Best regards, -a- Quote

I actually have the composite spinner from the Scimitar , but it is for a standard cowl , I think yours may have an ARI cowl , if not , you could use a standard spinner.. Quote
