Scott Dennstaedt, PhD Posted August 24, 2019 Report Share Posted August 24, 2019 It's rare to see such persistent IFR conditions during late August in the Charlotte area that are not associated with convection as seen in the HREF forecast below for probabilities of ceilings below 2,000 ft. Today was that day to go out and shoot some IFR approaches in relatively smooth air.
