Oil Pressure Transducer G1000 M20R

Hi All,

I'm trying to find a replacement Kulite oil pressure transducer P/N APT-20G-1000-150G for a GX2 Ovation. Does anyone have any ideas on where one might be found?

So far all that we have turned up is a Retrofit kit 940171-509 which apparently involves changing both the oil pressure and the MAP transducers at USD$2,200 just for the parts alone. Have been told that is not a
plug-and-play installation either requiring a software update for the new transducers??

This doesn't sound quite right. Can anyone shed any light here?

We think we have solved this issue..

On disassembling the plug at the transducer the black (ground) wire basically just fell out. It uses soldered, not crimped terminals inside the plug and all the terminals looked in bad shape (dry joints, opaque solder). The rubber wire guide inside the plug had also deteriorated, we suspect it hasn't held up well to heat - it gets pretty hot and the insulated P clamp prevents sinking of any heat to the engine mount.

After replacing the plug it appears to be rock-solid stable again. Our MP gauge is a bit jittery as well so that's now on the to-do list as well.

Also, we pulled the large cannon plugs at the top of the firewall and cleaned some junk out, and fixed an intermittent fuel gauge red X problem by cleaning/reseating the plugs at the GEA.
