N201MKTurbo
You might tell us exactly what plane it is on. Did you look in the Mooney parts manual? I guess you are looking for an OEM replacement part. Otherwise just call laser and order them. What is wrong with them?
mike_elliott
Dont let @M20Doc see that exhaust soot on that V band clamp, he might point out an issue....
Guest
The one on the left appears to be the original TIT probe, the one on the right is a JPI probe. The band clamp looks to have holes to accept them both. I’ve seen this method before. Clarence
willerjim273
OK, It is a 1980 231K. You are correct.. This is a OEM probe. The problem is that neither the ship's TIT or CDT work. The gauge is a B&D instruments Valley Center Kansas. I will look for a wiring schematic and ck it is getting power. Continuity from probes to gauge is good. The wires to gauge are not a home run. There is a screw/bolt connection, then thru firewall. Anybody have a wiring pic for that instrument? Lookslike about 6 pins are used. Yes, where a band clamp has been modified to allow use of 2 TIT probes in the same location of the transition pipe. I don’t know what you serial number is, or if this wiring schematic will be clear enough. Clarence
thinwing
That vband clamp looks out of alignment and is leaking exhaust,I think I would pull that clamp and inspect
carusoam
+1 on ThinWing’s observation... If i’m Seeing the same thing he is... I circled it in red... @willerjim273 and @M20Doc is that a leak, and how important is that? PP concern only, not a mechanic... Best regards, -a-

Best regards, -a- In the shop we use an old Filter Queen vacuum cleaner with the hose on the discharge side and a plug to connect to the tail pipe to pressurize the exhaust system to find leaks. Exhaust system V band clamps have a short life of generally 2 installations and retorqing. The K model manual doesn’t restrict it, but it’s worthy of consideration.
