What is increase in the passenger seating from the M20K  to the M20M??  Is the long body increase just in the storage area??

I had a 201 but now Im considering either the M20K 252 or the M20M, but unsure if there's much increase in passenger knee space in the long body M20M over the 252??

Increase in baggage space but in many cases a decrease in useful load.

Passenger seating b/w in a M20K vs. M20M is the same... rear passengers sit on the same wing spar in both locations.  Yes, there is more baggage space in the "Long Body" Mooney's.

The front seats are also more spacious on the long bodies, since the gear doesn't come up where your legs are.

both the K and M have useful loads that vary quite a large amount. some are under 800. others are over 1000.

So... the mid body gave the back seaters 10”

the Long Body gave about 10” for Cargo space...

UL is important to keep an eye on.

Some LBs have 1100 LBs of UL...

Some MBs have a similar UL...

Ks are at the higher risk of running out of UL, as their options list has a lot of check marks on it.  Dual batteries and O2 systems...

Long Bodies come more complete with added stuff... then add a few more things like A/C and Fiki TKS...

Fortunately, There are so many upgrades lately, 100 LBs of junk can be replaced with some fancy new electronic devices...

Out with a pair of vac systems... in with a spare alternator...

Go Mooney!

Best regards,
