The maintenance manual should have a brief explanation of sealing the windshield during replacement this should work.

A little more information will help.

  1. Model and year of your plane?
  2. Photo of the suspected area?
  3. is it rain water on the ground and or the air?
  4. do you  have the stock 2 piece windshield
  5. do you have the 201 windshield?
  6. do you have a 1 piece stock windshield?
  7. You could be getting water from the avionics access panels?

does anyone know what I would type in search engine or where to buy a seal that goes under panel to keep out water under front windshield?

3M strip caulk? I think I would rather replace it with a roll of peel and stick weatherstrip though... surely somebody here has found the right thickness to buy?

Considering what radios cost these days I would seal the access panels with 3 M strip caulk part number 08578 from NAPA type stores.
