Recording coms on commercial airlines

Will be aboard a final flight for a retiring airline captain...Possible to  record all radio communication for posterity?

I think it would be difficult to record the enroute comm’s due to the various sector frequencies. Most airline policies prohibit use of any communication devices. It would probably look surreptitious to other pax if you whipped out a handheld comm and started plugging away. IIRC, some airlines allow you to listen via the on-board entertainment system.
