New Interior!! M-20F

Recommended Posts

My new interior is finally completed!!  I am amazed beyond belief!!!! There are still nagging issues though, all I will say on a public forum is research your shop thoroughly and I mean thoroughly!! I have added the before-during-and after photos. For those following the thread about the Rosen visors, it was a very simple remove and reinstall just as advertised. No, I did not do the SB on the insulation, it has new windows installed just this past spring and it lives in a hangar.

Nothing better than the smell of leather !!

One thing to consider is a sheepskin seat cushion / protector for the front seats - try as I may I still have passengers who tend to step on the lower cushion of the passenger seat and it gets dirty quick

I like what you did with the interior. Nothing like a new interior to make it feel like a new plane.

I would have done SB 208. At some point, you fly in the rain or park it outside on a trip. The windows are not the only area where water can get in. A poor seal on the roof coupled with a leaking drain line can introduce water. As can a poor seal at the wing root fairing.

Check the age of the insulation as well...

Water would get in...

But the old style insulation would keep it against the steal tubes....

Enough to cause significant tube eating rust...

Probably a good idea to be familiar with the tube inspection procedure... whether it is done and logged by a mechanic... (great idea)

Or just being familiar as an owner in case water intrusion occurs...

Water can come in from any opening.

Unless you don’t fly in the rain...

Best regards,
