While you got this all apart, might be a good time to pull those yoke control rods and have them chromed or whatever coating they have on them.

you will be spoiled with the Avidyne 550.  makes flying IFR seem like cheating.  If you haven't done so already, check out the free IFD intro video at avidynetraining.com.  Gary Reeves does a nice job explaining the basics of the Avidyne interface.  Also download the IFD trainer and IFD1000 app for your ipad.  You can start to chair fly the new radio while your shop is busy wiring the real one.

That is going to be a nice looking panel.  Please give a pirep later on the PAR200A audio panel/com radio.  Jesse Saint & crew will do a terrific job, they are really nice people.  From the VAF site, a number of times when someone was AOG in Florida, Jesse offered help, went and repaired.   Side note, google Nate Saint, Jesse's either grandfather or uncle.

Phase 1 complete! Thanks to Saint Aviation they did an outstanding job! IMG_1987.thumb.jpg.a0b5ec7f666219c9d9b86a3a203e32aa.jpg

You’re missing the lower eyeball vent ?
I think you’ll find the default brightness needs to be adjusted on the G5s, they were too bright during night ops, especially since the Avidyne seems too dim.

It has been a pleasure working with you and with your plane, Frank. I’m excited to see it fly away on Monday!

proof of the disturbance in the economy...?

People typically upgrade their planes all the time...

People typically sell planes for various reasons...

People don’t typically upgrade a plane to sell it...

A plane getting upgraded at a reputable shop... like Saint Aviation... is a good sign.

Time to go see if the plane matches your needs..! :)

As usual, independent PPIs are always recommended...

PP thoughts only...

Best regards,

-a-
