Pilot side panel

Recommended Posts

I am getting ready to arrange my pilot side steam gauges in a six pack orientation. Do they have to be mounted on the rubber isolaters? I'm trying to now match both sides. When I get more cash I'm upgrading to glass but my OCD is killing me with wood grain/aluminum.

Depends on the instruments you have...

If they are original to the 60s... maybe?

If they are modern 90s... maybe not?

Copying how a J has its panel mounted might make good guidance...

For research, see what Lasar has to offer and their recommendation for supports. They have some nice ready panels...

Best regards,

On the later F there are I believe Lord mounts that use a 1/4 turn screw to lock the panel to them.   The Lord mounts mount to the steel tubing behind the panel.   I would think if your tubing is the same, I would go with a new panel arrangement.
