The aircraft has been stored in heated hangers for at least the last 30 years. The engine was overhauled in 1992 and now has about 800 hours. Having a really specific PPI can minimize your risk of being unlucky... Know... airplanes don’t like to sit idle... Having a heated hangar completely omits knowing what the rh was all that time. Low rh minimizes corrosion... high rh in a heated hangar can be disastrous. Fist time ownership is better to acquire an oft running plane... PP thoughts only, not a mechanic. gsxrpilot Posted November 19, 2018 Report Share Posted November 19, 2018 It seems to me that in this case... the airplane is coming out of storage... the seller shouldn't be opposed to pulling a couple of cylinders during the pre-buy.
