Mid-Continent Lifesaver Electric Gyro w/ Battery Backup

Recommended Posts

I bought this on Beechtalk a year ago added the $300 OEM slip indicator and it has been flawless. I put it in to replace a noisy turn coordinator. This unit is rated at 7500 hour mean time between failures. It is removed as working.

This one is a Zero Degree tilt. It has the $300 slip indicator on it and the set-up for battery backup. (If you want to replace the battery for $60 instead of $300 see this link http://csobeech.com/files/MidContinentBattery-9015607.pdf) It works on 10-32 volts. The light tray has a 28 volt light in it which can be easily changed.

1) Use this as a replacement for your turn coordinator and add safety by having an electric attitude indicator with battery backup in case of a vacuum failure. It's called "Lifesaver" for a reason. http://www.lifesavergyro.com/

2) Use it to back up fancy glass panels. This will work when everything else goes dark.

3) If you have a rate based autopilot (STEC) use it to perhaps dump the vacuum pump.

New this would be over $4000. Selling for $895 plus $25 shipping. Paypal Friends and Family preferred.
